Traveling to France

France is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe, not to mention the world. What’s not to love? There are the beautiful beaches overlooking the shimmering Mediterranean; incredible skiing opportunities in French Alps; sun-drenched vineyards in the wine regions; picturesque chateaux of the countryside; immaculate castles of Brittany and the Loire Valley; and of course, the unrivaled style and flair of Paris.

All in all, France is a country revered for its deep historical roots, world-wide influence in nearly every cultural arena, and unparalleled beauty.

Best Times for Traveling

Generally, France has a pretty temperate climate year round. Winters are mild, summers are cool, and spring is nothing short of breathtaking. If you're thinking of heading to the beach regions, June to early September are ideal months. For those interested in a little skiing or winter sport action, mid-December to late March are ideal. Mid-February to mid-March, Easter, the month of July, and the month of August, are all peak vacation months for French natives, so keep that in mind when booking during these periods.

CDG is located 25km northeast of the center of Paris. It is a main hub for Air France, EasyJet Airlines and Delta Air Lines. It is the second-busiest airport in Europe and the sixth-busiest airport in the world. Being that it is one of the world's busiest airports, it's no surprise that passengers have a wide-range of airline options when flying to CDG. Some of the bigger international carriers include Aer Lingus, Air Canada, Air India, American Airlines, British Airways, Continental Airlines, Delta Airlines, EasyJet Airlines, Japan Airlines, KLM Airlines, Singapore Airlines, United Airlines, US Airways and many more.

Nice Côte d'Azur Airport (NCE)

NCE is located 5.9 km southwest of Nice along France's Mediterranean coast. It's especially busy during the summer season due to its coastal location. However, as Nice is one of the country's larger cities the airport is very active year-round. Air France has frequent flights connecting the two big Paris airports to Nice, as well as Lyon Airport. If you are coming through another nearby country you have many other choices including Aer Lingus, Air Berlin, British Airways, Delta Airlines, EasyJet Airlines, KLM Airlines, Lufthansa Airlines, Scandinavian Airlines, and Transavia Airlines.
