London is the largest metropolitan area in the UK as well as the largest urban zone in the European Union. Regent's Park is also home to the London Zoo--the world's oldest scientific zoo. North of Regent's Park is Primrose Hill, a great spot to view the city skyline. Railways

The London Underground, known as the Tube, is the oldest metro system in the world. The ultra-efficient system operates to 270 stations so it is a popular way to get around for locals and tourists alike. There is also an extensive above ground railway network, which has heavier service in South London as there are fewer underground stops in this area.

Buses

London’s network of buses is among the largest in the world, with service running 24 hours a day to its nearly 700 routes. The distinctive double-decker buses are a trademark of London transport.
