Qantas: History and Facts
Qantas is actually an acronym for “Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services”. In addition to being the largest airline in Australia, it is the world’s second oldest continuously operating airline. Qantas was founded in Queensland in 1920. Their first aircraft was an Avro 504K that has a speed of 105 kilometers per hour and sat two pilots and one passenger.
